Services Provided: Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coaches establish relationships and practice core coaching skills to assist individuals to identify values and desires, transform them into action, and maintain lasting change over time. They partner in dynamic collaboration with individuals, and respect the client as the expert in his/her own life, using a strength-based focus and strong grounding in best practice.

A Wellness Coaching session is like having an extended session with a medical provider, with the chance to tell your side of the story. It causes you to search your memory for questions you put away to examine someday. You know that these questions are important, but you’ve put them away for a better time, or perhaps you don’t want to ask yourself because you won’t like the answers.

Like, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” or “If you could have optimal health, what would that look like?” or “What will your career look like in one year, five years?”

With identified and prioritized goals, the client, with support of the coach, develops a plan to reach those goals, following up at each session to see if the client is on track or what can be done to get back on track. The Coach supports the Client to articulate goals and identify reachable items for the next session. The Client leaves with an identified path and confidence in goals for the next session.

Two major philosophies of Wellness Coaching are 1) the focus is from here forward, and 2) the Client is the expert in his or her own life.
